People when it comes to this stuff look at it thru the wrong end of the telescope.
One thing that 1984 did not see, is that snooping would always be 1 sided.
Also that people could not snoop on the ones doing the snooping.
In the past the gov't could always have u tailed, open your mail, tap your phone etc.
I think already 3 US states have passed laws that it is illegal to video a law official.

Britain, USA, Russia had done same shit what they did countless times.

With the POV glasses, not sure how that will work.
They automatically turn off when you are around a law official
What about the security cams used in office buildings
If a law enforcement offical enters the building do they turn off
Like all tech it is a 2 edged sword.
