The kinect is pretty impressive as is.

Add two and you get a 3d camera system. Quality sucks, but the cool factor is huge. After all the kinect only cost 130 bucks...

I saw it for the first time at an A/V store the other day - the people using it looked ridiculous but the technology was damn impressive. I've read a few articles on it now and some of the more out-there ideas are VERY cool.

I hope that M$ takes this all the way out. I hope they push the SHIT of out this and it becomes something bigger than a gaming accessory.

They are and have been. Early on they realized it's potential as an augmented interface for pc/everything. There are already prototypes, from ms, which have kinect "built in", for auto log in, gesturing, monitoring.

I can't find the video I saw a few weeks ago of, but it was pretty cool.
