Good for cloud computing:

"The adapter supports hardware-based I/O virtualization, including Single Root I/O Virtualization, and Data Center Bridging. It also has T11 Fibre Channel frame encapsulation support and hardware offloads. Software drivers are available for Windows, Linux, VMware and Citrix Xen Server.  Mellanox is demonstrating the card at the Intel Developer Forum this week."

My ISP has told me he'll give me 50Gs for $50 if I beta his new antenna rig... all I need is a Yagi and about 10W and I'm golden.
That, plus the above card, and DAMN will I be able to get my pr0n fast.

Now we just need enough internet connection bandwidth to actually take advantage of that. However it's great that those barriers with IO are finally coming off.
