Audio Spam?
«
on:

I'm not sure if this is noteworthy or not, but I just received a piece of spam containing a single attached WAV file and no subject or message. The WAV file is ~10kb and contains an automated voice speaking a URL character-by-character with what sounds like porn audio in the background. I'll upload it if you guys want to check it out. I've never seen/heard any spam like this before. Is it common?

You're bold as a mofo, clicking on an unfamiliar WAV sent to your machine ... it is a really wild notion. I'll bet it doesn't work

I'm running OSX, so I wasn't really concerned about the virus angle considering how few virus programmers target Mac's. Probably asking for it, though.

Welcome to The Cache, MailMe2512 - I cannot help but be suspicious that this is disingenuous. Perhaps you might spend a moment and tell us more about your project?

I am familiarize with the email spam and now audio spam........that would be intolerable for everyone.
But I wonder every technology has negative side and that side used heavily than the positive side.
