Wink quite a while, although 20/13 in both. That, actually was one of the problems: my eyes focus too hard and small movements of my head cause continual refocus. Wore glasses for a while that softened my focal distance. They sucked, so it was off with them.

I'm dead certain there's a hardening going on now, as my close-field focus is shot or getting there. Prolly about time to go see the Doc.  Undecided

i was just kiddin.

The one thing I am concerned about with the LG is "sparkle effect" that some users are complaining about.
Its unfortunately a problem with pretty much any higher end panel that has an antiglare coating/filter on it, and it seems the Apple is not immune either.

Would you like to come over and colorimeter and look at PinkHat's and mine? You know we have all of that stuff easily here to look at ... bring J and we'll have a bottle of wine and you can try them out to your heart's content.

>My wife of course is thinking Mac 30"

So let me get this straight ...you're going to throw yourself into a no-win situation for the entire working life of the new monitor for $600?  I.E., every time that sucker boots up, you're going to hear (or feel) the "you-should-have-bought-me-the-Mac" sigh.  A substitute will never meet her expectations, NB, no matter what the goddamn colorimeter says.
