I purchased a few of these:
http://www.icydock.com/goods.php?id=80 because I wanted to f'reals mount my 2.5" SSD into my Mac's 3.5" bay (you may have seen the ghetto install I did in the
Making a Lion Update Worth It thread). I've tried a couple and they've not been good because the drive was mounted into the middle of the converter. This requires then that you have a cabled connection to the drive, rather than the hard shape that is in a Mac (or a lot of drive bays).
They are truly tool-less and are worth the money. The instructions are enormously clear for a procedure that is extremely easy. Slide open and lift the cover, set drive in bay. Close cover. The cover has a hinged rig that slides the 2.5 drive onto connectors inside the converter - didn't even need to mount the drive on the connectors.
Defintely +1.
