I'm turning around pretty complicated PHP pages, with several MySQL queries each in less than 5/1000 of a second. At that rate, 80 per second is nothing on the processor. If you have less complicated pages you are probably doing much better.

I dunno, sounds OK to me. But the 1800 Handler_read_rnd_next is unfamiliar to me...

you want to feel like your server is fucked up?
go to the STATUS page in phpmyadmin...
the red numbers will make you angry and waste lots of time.

this are pretty massive queries though so the 80/sec with zero seems horribly wrong to me.
I mean, were talking fulltext queries on 8million rows, 4 way joins, text based key lookups, etc etc. At least 40% are what I would call "complex" queries.

The wierd thing is that I even has some query that is causing full table scans on the 8 million rows, and that is bad, yet it doesnt seem to cause the problem it is "supposed" to be causing.

meh whatever.

I also ran a load test and paid a few bucks to have about 1000 simultaneous users pound the shit out of one of my CMS sites... 4% peak, 2% avg. holy shit.

Methinks one should not investigate the oral cavity of a equestrian bestowal.

If it is operational, perhaps you should not consider repair.
