Well, the largest block of rumors claim that Apple is gearing up for a January 26th demo of the new tablet, but not release - it'll probably go something like the iPhone and hang on for 6 months to build momentum before release but simultaneously kill sales of other tablets.
Most interesting this morning, were the rumors of an "articulated frame" - something that could actually raise and lower dots or areas on the screen in response to need. In other words, the framework of a keyboard rising out of the smooth surface of the touch screen. Here's a couple tidbits:

In other news, the notion that it will run iPhone OS has become less abhorrent to me as I slip into the thought that perhaps it's larger than what we see on the iPhone, and that Apple's way of getting people to purchase software for their Macs might be through a tablet that is both. Consider:
