I am bummed, as I was planning to buy my first Apple computer...

Maybe they are waiting for the Consumer Electronics Show???

Anyone have any inside info???

IMO they are going to tighten it up and reissue. Some of the juiciest rumors include a TB version, quad core, dual monitor ports and such ... and none of the rumor sites are predicting its demise, only disappointment that the update didn't happen here. But, given this was the MacWorld swan song and Apple won't be there anymore, I wonder if we'll hear news from a different vector.

But all that said, the dual core MM is currently a pretty damn good machine. I have a few of them doing various chores and they are reliable, fast and are managed headless remotely really nicely.
