In the ever hungry hunt for smaller better faster easier, I am using my new notebook rig.

What is this new, marvelous thing, you may ask?

I have an Apple wireless keyboard bluethoothed into my iPad, with my iPhone bluetoothed in as my trackpad, running applications like MS Word, FireFox and everything I need from our cloud.

Although there is the ever so slight hesitation when keypressing, the trackpad works admirably and this is WAY MORE than enough for managing light duty remote work. In fact, I am going to log into a shell in a few moments, alternating between Citrix for my web browser and the shell to see if development (at least light work) is really a possibility. At the moment, I am just completely thrilled.

Thanks NBs for spurring this discussion last night and figuring it out - it rocks. I did have to see the autolock on the phone to a higher number, since when it goes to sleep about 50% of the time it loses its connection to the receiver. But in terms of an extremely lightweight replacement for my notebook? Stick a fork in it. All done.

cool. yea, now that we know the phone can be used as a trackpad, that will make things a bit easier.
