Agree @ smoother. Seems to be a little less clunky and quicker, but still slower than Spaces.

Update: Now 3 days into keeping my Mac at 76..79 (F) and it's behaving much more nicely. kernel_task is never up where it used to be, which seems to have made it that other processes don't get up there either. I'm now starting to wonder if temperature was driving up the kernel_task which was getting the way of Safari, iTunes, the Finder etc - because none of it is pushing the CPU% now.

Interesting, but vaguely disturbing.
