Korg virtual drum machine

Didn't even think of this. The iPad is big enough to possibly be an instrument controller. I am certain someone is going to create a midi interface for it...

... hasn't gotten stellar reviews, but I think that's because they're asking quite a bit of the phone (what it was originally designed for) to both control instruments and/or play digital samples as well...

There're some control surface apps for the iPad already as well - virtual mixers and such, which are *VERY* cool. I use a virtual device but mix all on the Mac Pro - the iPad-as-control-surface would look just really cool in the gear bag...

Not my cup o tea but the korg app pretty much gets 5 stars solid. Might be worth a check from a music geek point of view.

That's cool. It's always cool when musicians and artists do apps because they usually do something cool with the real world. Engineers just do apps that run some code to get somethin done and that's it Like that app for iPhone where you blow in the mic and it acts as an instrument
