I think it would be a prime target. Since they've been roller coaster for years, amplifying the movement would not be too tough and could make some a lot of money. How to do it thought, and who's doing it are way beyond me.

Here's another interesting question. Do you think it's "possible" that the people who invest heavily in Apple shares and the people who produce independent reports such as these have ever been in communication with each other? Wink

No question about Apple's brand prowess. But try to convince me that there wasn't a little side-Starbucks conversations happening that encouraged the purchase and perhaps quick sale of Apple shares immediately before and after this news hit the streets

Bernie Madoff is more rule than exception  Idea...

Same principle applies.
Was used mainly with bucket shops Wink

There are "options" where u can buy stock at a certain price.
But they only have a window of time.
So lets say Jan 10 at $350.

You then drive the price down by selling before the time.

Oh right, it's got to be an Apple conspiracy  ROFLMAO

@madoff and apple conspiring with investment houses - not likely man. They are under too much scrutiny. Besides were talking a lot more Gecko than Madoff here. More of outside players taking advantage than internally built ponzi. Since the apple boys themselves are not buying and selling it does them no good (any activity like that would be outed already) and the down side is too huge for a zero-sum game.

WTF Huh?
Investment houses are doing all sorts of hanky panky.
Lets see launder $350+ million of mexican drug money.
Then get fined less then the interest you made just holding the money.

The only difference between USA and a 3rd world country, is in USA corruption is legal Wink
