... they're at the iTunes store, been there since about 1 today, for me anyway. Already downloaded a bunch knowing what I'd like, purchased several as well. Things I'm excited about:
- ABC: Complete shows, advertiser supported, streamed on demand. Private Practice for PinkHat? Anytime baby, no $$.
- WordPress: This one is hot - of course, I could edit my blogs with Safari now, but the app looks like a nice wrapper. Truth of it is I don't care about the mechanism - being able to post/edit my blogs without being at my desk or opening my notebook will be great. Never wanted to do it from the iPhone.
- New services, advanced editions: Use these on my phone everyday, looking forward to the new size: APWire, BBC, Bloomberg, NPR, NYT, WSJ and USA Today. Waiting for the new Engadget app
- Popular Science: Already have the new app, also looking forward to Wired and a host of mags and books. I'll be cancelling the paper immediately, methinks
- Bento: I've *not* been a fan of this personal database manager, but now with the 'pad, the iPhone and desktop version make a lot more sense. Thinking this will replace Notebook by CircusPonies for auxiliary memory items
- Pages, Numbers, Keynote: Need I say more? Game changers man.
- Netflix streaming: NICELY DONE, them getting out on day 1. That's gonna be big I think.
- Family games: Got a couple. Thinking about dinner at the local pub. Right now, I have to tell everyone to stop texting. I play chess with my youngest on our two damn phones across the table from each other FFS. Thinking that things like Scrabble, passed about on the table will be more engaging and inclusive than the phones have been.
Is it Saturday yet?
