If you look quick, the popup sentences contain very handy items like, "The abortion went well."

Lol, thats like a knockoff cnn site or something?  Sounds like idiocracy news report at the end when she says: "....for people that use their computers, not for just 'dicking around' "

HAHAHA  Did she really say 'dicking around' all professional like?

The Onion is a hilarious comedy news site. Sometimes it's good, witty satire and social criticism that makes you think. Sometimes it's low-brow fart jokes. They're good at what they do though. The movie was funny too.

I follow the RSS so I see whenever they drop a new one. Some of the political stuff (particularly during the election) was just outrageous.

And yes, she did say, "dicking around" all professional like  ROFLMAO ROFLMAO ROFLMAO

lol

no worries.
I, being the uber-net-nerd, only recently checked out facebook, and still don't "get" twitter.

on a completely unrelated note, sort of...

This right here is what the net needs to become. many years ago, when I mucked with an alpha of mosaic, I thought to myself, why cant this window hold an application like a word processor, game, or photosoftware in it? That way I wouldn't need to patch, update, install, or anything. I could have a small computer with nothing installed, and still have every software I could ever want. I thought at the time that it would be great because then I could access my applications, even from someone else's computer.

http://www.photoshop.com/
is it full photoshop? no way. could it be if they wanted to? yes, just maybe slower.

5 more years I think, and computer speed for the average person will lose all relevance. only speed of the net will matter. in this case its JS client side, but it could just as easily be processed on the server and sent back down to the client.

Think you're right. Apple is moving towards all net services for iWork like the Google apps... it's just a matter of time now. And it's a really, really cool new idea!

Or, wait... have we just reinvented the mainframe?
