I hope so. Perhaps it will force Apple to give us some useful features like um...flash?

Plus I love Opera. If it ran better on Linux and was open source, it would be my #1 browser instead of #2.

Kind of silly for them to go hard at creating this when the non-compete issue was already well known.

And the problem with Flash is processor: it was designed to run on a desktop where processor and HD access is not a problem. As I read it, Flash (as it was originally written) will burden the processor in such a way to actually unbalance the thermodynamics of the phone, as well as being really hard on the battery. Adobe is said to be rewriting the Flash kernel so that it runs in an iPhone friendly way.

Flash thing is getting ridiculous. Opera I'm not too worried about. A better mail app perhaps. Ehh ... I need to jailbrake mine.

Did you 2 jailbrake the new 2.2 fw?

I have not jailbroken since I got 2.0

I probably will though. Most of the useful paid apps in the app store have a FOSS equivalent in the app repository once you're jailbroken.
