Last night I was thinking there are a couple apps that id like to see for the pad that Apple will certainly not approve, but that would be of value to a lot more people than just me. So I got to thinking, how could this be accomplished?

When you have XCode (the free development environment for OSX and the lot) you can install anything you want on your pad/phone/pod. Why isn't there a repository for projects that can be shared, i can compile and install myself? Just like the unix community, where source is swapped rather than compiled exes...

It wouldn't make Apple happy, but just like the "experimental" label you can out on an airplane and then go fly about without the same kind of restrictions you have in a normal plane.

There's prolly something in their developer agreement that prohibits this, I think I'll go give it a look. Could make for an interesting site IMO.

I agree, but i am pretty sure they have shut down sites that did this. They even went after sites that seemed to be legitimately just trying to share code for educational purposes.

I would be all over it if that existed. I need real time porn!

That's actually a good idea. I was going to say something about Cydia but it's not really what you are thinking. I wonder what type of shenanigans Apple would come up against that if it ever got popular Wink

I would love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.
